Hello once again to my project update 🙂 I took the time to finally install the mighty fine water cooling blocks onto the GPU and motherboard this week. For the GPU, I have decided to use the water block from EK which suits the GTX980Ti and GTX Titan X reference GPU. I picked the acetel and nickel version version as it suits the toned down theme that I am aiming for with the inside of this project. For the CPU, I have decided to use the waterblock/pump combo made by Fractal Design, which is supplied with the Kelvin S36 AIO…

And the last sleeving! The pump, the LEDs, powerbutton and the fans. Decided to change all the connectors so they can be plugged directly into the Bequiet PSU. Using 2 ultra bright Nanoxia ledstrips. Much better. At first I wanted to hide the cables with the second dark blue panel. But when I tried the clips on the back I might even cancel the second panel. Vandal switch on the back with blue LED. And adding LEDS to the GPU. I like the result. And with panel on. Happy new year every one!

Sleeving Part 2

And here the second part of sleeving the PSU. Had to shorten each wire for this build. Temporary using clips to keep them in order. And an extra panel for the PSU. Testing the PSU. In place And some testing with the lighting .. 🙂

Hello to each and every one of you!! I would like to show you my progress on one of the key features of my modding project which is still unnamed, starring the Define S chassis from Fractal Design. This key feature I would like to show my work up to this day is this custom made motherboard panel, which houses the motherboard rotated at a 90degree angle as compared to the normal orientation. This motherboard panel also features a wooden trim and MetallicAcid logo carved out by hand into the aluminium, which will highlight the wood which will be glued…

Hey guys, A new wooden dressing panel has been cut and installed on the original front panel of the Define S from Fractal Design. I love the look of this oak wooden panel which has been flame treated. This panel was recycled from an old table from my workplace. I hope that you all like the results. More panelling will be used for details inside the chassis later on, so keep checking back for more updates!   With warm regards, Justin “MetallicAcid” Ohlsen

Sleeve and more

Sleeving package from Sleeve-modding has arrived! These look beautiful! Will come to good use in the next updates 🙂 Sleeve and heat shrink in several diameters. And off course connectors First thing I wanted to do was the power cable. I was already happy with this result. However I already changed it .. 🙂 More about it this week!

Hello once again my friends! Today’s update is where I create a new custom panel which will cover the rear panel of the chassis, and the floor.. All from one piece of custom cut, brushed, and bent alumunium. This was a little difficult to make as I do not have access to a metal bender, so I had to bend this panel with the “tools” that I had on hand… 1x table 1x metal shelf 80kg weight (me…) 1x wooden plank Certainly a challenge, which resulted in a lot of sweating and swearing. 🙂 End result is amazing though 😀…

GTX980ti mount

Hi again! So .. came up with the idea to mount the GPU with a 90 degree angle 🙂 And create a structure for it so the system can be shipped if needed. I had to enlarge some holes in the PCB. And change some block stand-offs. You can see I also mounted the PCI-e extender for more stability. And .. to the radiator. And as last, a 6mm nickelplated copper bar instead of the pci-panel Till next time!

Hi all! So I mounted the pump 🙂 also preparing some small ideas for the PSU Then I got the idea to flip the GPU .. such a shame if we only see the backplate. So will be using the best extender I ever tried (up to 60cm) Maybe under an angle?

Hey everyone, I made a short video of the cover plates for the waterblocks. I have made all kinds of 3D drawings and ordered aluminium sheets. But I haven’t received them yet sadly.
