Hello my friends, And thank you once again for joining me on my modding adventures featuring the Define S from Fractal Design 🙂 As promised, I would like to present to you the finished motherboard and RAM painting to fully reinvigorate the colour scheme and style of this Asrock Extreme 9 ATX motherboard. Hello friends, and welcome back to another update of my Define S project supported by Fractal Design! This update has just the one image today as I realized today that my memory stick had given up on me, and decided that it did not want to let me get my photos from it.. So think of this image as a teaser of good things too come 🙂 More photos of the motherboard and RAM coming soon 😉 On another note, I have started really getting into the nitty-gritty of modding the Define S chassis, and I have come to conclusion…

Hello my friends! Today’s update highlights that I have painted my G-Skill RAM and RAM DIMM slots.. All black. Back in black feel gooooood. I am currently working on fixing the heatsink for this motherboard as I had started painting it, and someone else had dropped something onto it, leaving some large marks and scratches on the newly painted surface.. So I had to sand down and start again! :O With this said, I hope that you enjoy these four images, and have a nice one 🙂 Kind regards, Justin “MetallicAcid” Ohlsen

Hello everybody, and once again welcome back! These last few weeks have been very very busy, with our new born son keeping my wife and I on our toes all day (and all night) long. I started back at my fulltime work and it seems that I barely have time left over for modding. So this Friday though I took it upon myself to put all else aside to get some major cutting done, so that I have something to present to you in this update! In the beginning of this cutting mod, I tried using my jigsaw with the…

Hello friends, and welcome to a small update 🙂 Modding for my project has been slow as my wife and I recently welcomed to the world our baby son Xander, so my time has been dedicated to him, and helping his 2yr old big sister adjust to our newest addition to the family. Late a night is when I get to work on the project, and this of course means that I cannot do anything that is overly noisy. So I have taken these rare free moments to dismantle the motherboard heatsinks, remove the…

Hello my friends, and welcome to my project update! I would like to introduce my plans for my modding project featuring the Fractal Design Define S. There is no name yet for this project, so we will see if something suitable comes to mind during the modding process. I am planning on rotating the motherboard 90degrees, creating a wrapping window from the side panel to the front panel, having a real wooden inlay for the front panel, custom painted and brushed aluminium panels through-out, and doing a custom paint job on most all parts and panels. More information will come…

Hello everybody, and welcome to my first post here for the LDLC Modding Trophy 3rd annual event. I would first and foremost like to thank the judges for considering me for this event, and for all of the partners who have deligated their product to make this event happen. I wish every one of the other modders the best of luck! I am going to give this project my very best effort 😉 In this blog update, I would like to present to you all the unboxing of the products from the company I have been chosen to represent – Fractal…

Just arrived in the field of the modding, Justin fast jumped ahead of the other PC modders by creating PC mods of a high technicality – But retaining classy and uncluttered design. This modder understands that to stay relative to his unique style, nothing in his designs serves to fall into visual debauchery – but rather to create mods with powerful style, but still maintain the associations of forms, colors,  harmony, balance, and symmetry. His way of modding is thus defined as industrialist where everything seems efficient: Thanks to this style, Justin is, really, a formidable competitor!
